Service Profile

GMTS was established in 1986, with the home office in Central Florida. Web-based technology has enabled us to broaden our client and employee base without concern for geographic boundaries. No matter what the location, we provide excellence of quality that is the nation's highest by working closely with the transcription/medical records staff of each facility, maintaining samples of difficult physician dictation so that our transcriptionists become as familiar with the dictation as the transcriptionists within a specific facility. Our quality assurance guidelines are based on those of AAMT.

GMTS believes that our constant commitment to quality and continuing education enables us to assist our clients in achieving the goal of accurate documentation of patient care, while moving toward the electronic patient medical record. This commitment is a benefit for our clients, our transcriptionists and our company.

All our employees not only have an entry confidentiality form which is required to be signed upon beginning with us, but also sign an exit form which further stresses confidentiality and resulting liability from breeches. Our transcriptionists have ongoing in-servicing regarding security issues with new technology, email and safeguarding patient information within HIPAA guidelines.

Dictation Options

GMTS offers more than one way to deliver your voice to our transcriptionists.

We have a DVI digital "call-in" dictation system. This is a traditional dictation system housed in our secure Central Florida location. We are able to accept dictation directly from any location through our 800 number. We are also able to re-record from compatible digital dictation systems.

We are able to accept dictation into our web-based system, powered by MedRemote, by phone over an 800 number, directly through your PC microphone or a digital hand held recorder. This system is housed in a secure Exodus facility.

Transcription Process

Once the dictation has been received, the voice is routed to one of our transcriptionists, in either digital or wav form. Upon completion, the transcribed report is received back in the office, where it is reviewed according to our quality assurance guidelines. After completion of this process, the report is released back to our client.

Delivery Options

Reports dictated into our traditional DVI system are returned via modem, email, or Fed Ex/UPS.

Reports dictated into our web-based system can be tracked during the entire process, beginning with the visual assurance that the dictation has been received and ending when the report is released from our QA staff. The voice and text are then immediately available to the dictator for viewing, downloading and printing. The only requirement is internet access with a browser.

All transfer procedures are/will be HIPAA compliant.

Fax service is available for stat reports.

Interfacing

We have experience interfacing with Meditech and Chartscript platforms.

Storage and Retrievability

GMTS currently archives all transcribed reports for three months at the Central Florida location if requested by the client.

Line Counting

GMTS uses a line counting program which assures a verifiable 65-keystroke line.

Coverage/Turnaround Time

Temporary, on-call and scheduled coverage are all welcome.

Turnaround is based on client need for scheduled accounts, and as available for temporary and on-call coverage.
